A Layout For PRIMA April Palette

Prima's "April Showers" Color Palette

Full of Aquas, Pinks Oranges and Soft Greens

Is just Gorgeous....

So I decided to have a go....:)
Here is my Layout....

I have used Prima's Annalee Range
As I thought it was perfect match for this palette

Along with some Prima Madeline Collection Elements

Prima Lace, Felts, Chipboard, and Alphas....
Only the Cardstock by Coredinatations is not by Prima

Here is the Prima April Palette so you can see...

The Color Match...and Inspiration....

This was definitely a challenge for me as I don't usually use much orange....

I am happy with the concept of this LO......

The Shape etc....And the Border made Piece by Piece... :)

But honestly I think I could have executed it little better...

Oh well ... there is always next time.....

So have used the gorgeous sheer crepe organza flowers

We ask that the only other requirement will be to add some journalling on your pages...
Or Cards..or Art Journalling Pages or Altered Item etc etc...

Yes ...this is also for cardmakers.. and any other creative soul that wants to play along....
You can adjust the sketch and make something creative from it!

The Color Room #49 Lovely Memories

Honestly I don't know if I have done any justice to this week's

Color Room Challenge
But here goes...

It is a totally gorgeous... but tricky palette to get the colors right....

And I think I have managed that part ok....

But honestly my LO just didn't turn out as I had hoped....

I don't know if it is because I'm not really a white space scrapper???

I soo want to splatter back ink on the spaces... but I just cant find the courage....

It's the only piece of that color pink cardstock I have....
And just think I would totally wreck it....
I so admire those that can and the layouts just look fabulous!!!

However ....I think this will definitely help me get over the depression of my LO....

Well it's been a long time....

I haven't scrapped in 12 months but have

Finally found the urge again to be a little creative...

I have discovered that looking for just the

"Right" chairs....and Upholstery Fabrics to suit...

Takes a lot longer than you first imagine....
And it's a wee bit daunting.....

But it is a Fun Process....!

I absolutely Adore these Dining Chairs......

Hello Dear Blogging Friends...

Yes it has been a very long while... and I do aplogise for that....

Life has been a bit tough of late....

I have had to have unexpected surgery and ongoing treatment

But happy to say..... things are looking a bit brighter at the moment...

(Oh there is still pain and a few other awful side effects but it's bearable most days... )

Add to all of that.... my 'puter just giving up the ghost completely and dying......

Grrrr and frustration!!!

But now we are both back... :)

Yes I'm Back into Teacup Tuesday
(Even though it's now Wednesday...)

For my absence.... & being late...

Now Ladies I have a confession....

I think by following TCT

I have discovered a New Passion.....

Possibly a new addiction even...LOL!!

I have sooo loved viewing all of your beautiful Limoges China

That I have had to invest in some myself....

Yes it was the Aqua Colors that totally had me hooked.....:)

The Chocolate Set... I'm not even worried that one cup and saucer is missing....

The Reason I just had have to have this gorgeous set....

Was that "Touch of Turquoise"

It's part of the colour scheme for our new
French Inspired Renovation / Redecorating....

So I think this will be just perfect...

Cant you just imagine the Gorgeous Coffee pot and maybe two of the cups and saucers

On a gorgeous side table with a lamp....

Like this gorgeous set of French Nesting Tables I have my eye on....

Because I have a new fascination with "All Things Limoges"...
I just have to show you my new Limoges Vase that arrived today....

As you know I am starting to work on my new project..

The Living Room Re-Decoration..

So Where Do I Start ...?

As I am so motivated by Colour...

I figured that would be a great starting point....

So you already know I want to have a French Inspired / Themed Renovation...

And the Interiors and Colours I keep coming back to over and over again....

Are Robin's Egg Blue, Beige, and White....

So These Fabulous Interiors are already on my

Colour Inspiration Board....

I think they go fabulously well with a French Theme....

What do you think...???

Am I on the right track??

There are so many ways to use this combination.....

That are all sooo gorgeous....

I also love how a touch of dark wood furniture works so well...
As I have a couple of pieces that it would be sacrilegious to paint....

And I will confess I find this palette so relaxing....

I just cant wait to find the right fabric now....

Yep.. That is where I usually start right after colour....

So I'm thinking Drapes, Pelmets, Slip Covers Cushions....

That I just couldn't resist purchasing...
Not only are the French but Vintage too...:)

My biggest dilemma is what to show you first....:)

Now you know I just love all things feathered...

And when I found this stunning vintage figurine....

I was a totally smitten...

Then to my immense delight discovered there was a set of 3....

Well it just wouldn't be nice to split this gorgeous set would it???

So I had to buy all 3.....:)I just love them .....

Scrolling thru this Fabulous French Shop
I found more pieces that were just begging to make

Australia their new home...

Actually their new "Mum"... me....

Just couldn't resist them....

Like this WA Rogers Silver Stand and Darling Cloche....

Yes I have a thing for Cloche too.....

This absolutely divine letter stand...

However I don't think I will use it for today's mail

I have never been quite sure how to display them... so I think this will be just perfect!

Gorgeous Owner is happy to look and find me extra little things I might be looking for......
Hmmmm I wonder how much it is to ship a whole container from France to Australia??? LOL!

Apart from the fact they will be the start of a gorgeous vignette...

Autumn Colours in particular...

Here in Australia at the moment its Autumn!
And maybe where you live its Spring!!
Either way, look at this incredible Quilt.
Be inspired however you like...

It would be nice to see you include some fabric somewhere
But remember...

And Here is My Take on the Challenge....

I decided to have a go at a Wall Hanging

Using Autumn Colours...

Yes... stepping way outside of my comfort zone....

Oh I do love colour and am inspired it...

But will confess I usually work in pastels...

As you know.... :)

So The Colours I have used are

Burgundy, Chartreuse, Chocolate, Yellow and Wheat...

The fabrics I have used are strips of silk in those colours

Wrapped around a Chipboard Circle to Create the Frame...

And some Muslin to Frame the Image...

And a Close Up....

So thanks so much for the Challenge LGS Girls!!!

Really enjoyed this step Outside my Comfort Zone!

Looking forward to next Month...

The Papers and Flowers are by PRIMA.

Today I can finally show you what I made for Sarah

As her parcel has arrived....

The Gift Box For Sarah's Aqua Goodies..
I was really happy with how this piece turned out....
Hubby even went as far as to say he thought it was my "best ever".....

The Aqua and White goodies that went in the box....
A mixture of both vintage and new....
(I think the Aqua and White was Sarah's Favorite.... )

An Aqua Tussie Mussie

Because I am into making them atm....

Trying to start the Tussie Craze in Aus.... LOL

And Just Because...

Sarah's other favorite color is Pale Pink...

Tea Cup Tuesday Is Served With A Dash Of Art Deco

Today I would like to share with you

One of my favorites....

Shelley Orington

This beautiful Art Deco Set was made by Shelley
Between 1925-1940 in England.

This is the Demitasse Cup Shape

This white Shelley China is whimsically decorated

With hand painted beautiful Green Raise Enameled Flowers and

Black Branches.

I will admit I love the elegant shape of the Shelley Coffee Pots

More so than the Teapots....

Just a personal taste thing I am sure....

Besides being a vivid spring green with handpainted enamel foliage
It has pale green trim.

The same design was called
Orington, Peony, or Chippendale,
At various times.

Creamer and Sugar
The Pattern Number on the bottom is 13216.

A perfect match with Shelley Orington would be some

Gorgeous Art Deco.......

Art Deco has certainly made a resurgence lately...

Including a Collection by the
Wonderful and Talented Mr Karl Largerfield

So Today I thought I would indulge you with some gorgeous Chanel pieces...

True to the classic Art Deco aesthetic,
The pieces were streamlined, geometric and made of

But I decided instead to create an OTP instead..

A piece that I can use for my Easter Vignette next year....

Including Vintage Wallpaper, Crepe Paper, Seam Binding, Lace,

Vintage German Scrap, Beading and Millinery.....

I totally enjoyed making this Shabby Piece for the Challenge
